Description

What are our intimate feelings around the idea of home? Do we feel an extra need for security or shelter during times of change? Celia Burbush has been collaborating with puppeteer Ali McCaw, to develop a live interactive performance piece. Two homeless puppets will be travelling along the west coast of Cumbria carrying out research, asking the community how they feel about ‘home’ and ‘identity’. They will be visiting the streets of Maryport, Whitehaven and Workington. The puppets have been inspired by Gulliver’s Travels, a novel that explores a man’s shifting identity and sense of belonging.
