I am a stonemason by trade, however following my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and the worsening of my condition I had to eventually fold my business and down tools. After years of struggling and battling against my illness I came to realize that every cloud has a silver lining and rediscovered my passion for art. Not only do I love being creative but it is also something which keeps my interested and gives me a purpose when I am struggling with my health.
A recent homemove has enabled me to create a small studio where I can enjoy my creations.
My work is incredibly varied, ranging from stone fire surrounds (designed and hand crafted when I was more able bodied) to restored furniture pieces with a twist, mosaic creations, paintings, individual trinket stones crafted into creatures.
Other than the fire surrounds my work has always been a hobby, created for personal satisfaction and has never been marketed or viewed by the public. This is all new to me, so please come and view my creations and please share your views.
Get to junction 43 roundabout on M6 and take turnoff for A69 Hexham Newcastle. Stay in right hand lane then get into right hand slip lane and turn right into Scotby village. Follow the road as if you were going right through the village until you see a railway bridge in front of you. Take the road on the right before the railway bridge (Park Road). Follow the road around, you will see white flats on your right, we are second house after the flats. House name Chatsworth.
