About the Organisers

New Arts North is an artist-led inclusive arts organisation (est 2009), based in the North West of England. We specialise in creating projects that act as catalysts for change in people's lives. With teams of arts professionals, including puppeteers, dramaworkers, script-writers and visual artists, we work with communities to create new bodies of work and performances, of the highest quality.

Two homeless puppets will be travelling up the west coast of Cumbria, conducting research on the subect of home and belonging. They will be asking passers by for their stories and thoughts about home. This an intriguing piece of interactive theatre, written by Celia Burbush and Ali McCaw based on the work of Jonathan Swift, one-time resident of Whitehaven, and author of Gulliver’s Travels.
