The Heugh. Up on the hill between Lanercost and Walton, just 10 minutes from Brampton, The Heugh is an old farm steading now home to 3 families. The studio is used for personal practice, dance and singing workshops as well as on-going singing and yoga classes. Once again for C-Art we are opening the studio up as a temporary gallery space and this year have joined up with artists Lulu Guinness, Ceri Allen, Jane Dudman,Gillian Naylor and Nina Enemark. As part of the North Cumbria Artist Network at West Garth Cottage artists Debbie Jenkins, Barbie McClure and Carol McDermott are also exhibiting.

Companion Piece: a performance by Lulu Guinness with Nina Enemark will take place on Friday 15th September from 7.30 – 9.00 pm.Lulu’s brother Christopher died in 1992 at the age of 35. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s his autistic traits were evident but unexplained. This two-woman performance uses movement and mime to explore themes around Asperger’s/Autism, loss and connection.
On Friday evening wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks will also be served
